LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Moisture is beginning to move into the region, with a slight chance for mountain showers and storms Wednesday afternoon-evening. Hazy skies and breezy southwest winds of up to 30 mph will also peak throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will be near normal Wednesday, with a forecast high around 104° in Las Vegas. The normal high this time of year is 105°.

Monsoon moisture will continue to funnel into the region on Thursday, bringing a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be below normal, with a forecast high of 96° in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Friday looks to be the most active day of the week, with higher humidity and the best chances for showers and storms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures cool to a high of 98°, bringing continued relief from the heat.

A slight chance for storms remains in the forecast for Saturday, before drier conditions move into the region early next week.
